Easy & Healthy Fish Taco Toppings You’ll Love

The fish tacos we eat outside are different, but when we make them ourselves, the crunchiness, creaminess, and freshness that we maintain in these fish tacos give them the right taste, and we can easily make these fish tacos with crunchy toppings that we can enjoy with every bite.

I am going to share with you the method I follow.

Most people think that if we make them, the toppings of the fish tacos will be complicated, but here we can make it very easily with crispy cabbage, creamy lime sauce, and tangy pickled onions, so everyone can enjoy these flavors and savor every bite.

I still remember very well that whenever I make a fish tacos recipe for my family members, they always clean what is on the plate, then I feel very, very happy that the cooking done for my loved ones has not gone to waste. You will also feel the same way.

It’s a different kind of satisfaction when someone we like happily eats our food without leaving any residue.

How To Make Healthy Fish Tacos

Instructions

Season the fish –
  • For this recipe, you can use any white fish, but here I have used cod.
  • Now, take the fish fillets on a plate.
  • Now season them with chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and a good squeeze of lime juice. Gently massage into the fish.
Cook the fish –
  •  Turn on the stove and put a nonstick skillet on it. Once the pan is slightly hot, add a little olive oil and add the fish.
  • Now fry each piece for about 4 minutes on each side until the fish turns golden brown.
  • Do not move it too much – cook until it is well browned, and now we can cut it into bite-sized pieces.
Heat the tortillas –
  • For this, place the flour tortillas one by one on a hot skillet on the stove and cook for at least 25 seconds on each side.
  • If you cook it on medium heat, you should get a little crispy without getting too mushy.
Assemble your tacos –
  • This is the real part — Take your hot tortillas, place fried fish chunks on top, then add your toppings — crunchy red cabbage, a dollop of pico de gallo, creamy avocado slices, a little sour cream, fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice on top.
  •  Look how pretty it looks! Now you can enjoy every bite.
