Crispy Baked Chicken Wings

crispy baked chicken wings

The crispy baked chicken wings recipe is very easy to make. After we bake it, all the juices go inside, and it is very delicious when we eat it. And since we do not deep fry it in much oil, this is also healthy!

My brother-in-law came in silently and told me that belly fat increases; you make it tasty and good for us. Let’s make a change today.

The way I eat will not change, but let’s bake the chicken wings in the oven today instead of deep frying them in oil, he said.

After all these days, my brother-in-law’s health became a little more concerned, so I quickly finished our crispy baked chicken wings at home with just 5 ingredients, thinking that if I stayed late, he would say deep fry them again, and the whole family could have a snack and have a nice chat.

You can eat these with any sauce you like or just plain, because they are crispy.

Many people love fried chicken, and some love air fryer chicken wings. When I made these baked chicken wings, my brother-in-law ate them and wanted to make them like this whenever I make chicken wings.

He also praised, saying they were very good. Just as he felt healthy & super crispy after eating them, your family will also appreciate you.

After asking my brother-in-law, I thought, “Hmm, after so many days, I can relax and make the best baked chicken wings recipe without having to stand in the kitchen.” I got a little rest today because of you.

Crispy Baked Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients

  • Chicken Wings –I used fresh chicken wings with the skin on.
  • Olive Oil – Helps the spices stick to the chicken! & also adds texture.
  • Smoked Paprika – Gives a nice color and smoky flavor.
  • Garlic Powder – How can I get extra flavor without it? I used fresh garlic powder for this.
  • Onion Powder – This balances out all the spices.
  • Salt and Pepper – These are the only things that give the chicken its natural flavor.
  • Baking Powder — This is the secret; it gives us the crispiness and a nice brown color we want.

How to make oven baked chicken wings:

1. Preheat

Since we are baking in the oven, my brother-in-law set the oven to 400°F, so the wings don’t overcook.

2. Dry the wings:

Washing fresh chicken wings thoroughly and patting them dry with paper towels helps the oil and seasonings adhere better to the skin and keep them crispy.

3. Season the chicken wings

Place the chicken wings, which have been dried with paper towels, in a large mixing bowl. Now add our garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and kosher salt, crushed pepper, as well as olive oil and baking powder, adding as much as you like and coating the chicken wings well.

4. Place the wings on a wire rack

Take a large tray and line it with aluminum foil, so that the tray is very easy to clean. Now place the wire rack on top of it and place the seasoned chicken wings on it, spaced apart so that the heat will reach all over.

5. Bake the chicken wings

Bake at 425°F for at least 25 minutes, making sure to allow air to circulate between them. Then, remove the tray from the oven and turn the chicken wings over one by one. Place the tray back in the oven and bake for another 20 minutes. And that’s it, your crispy baked chicken wings are ready.

6. Serve & Sauce

Don’t make the mistake of eating my brother-in-law’s savory dishes as soon as you take them out of the tray. Let them sit for a while so they are crunchy and crispy when eaten. You can dip them in your favorite sauce and eat them.

Storage, Reheating baked chicken wings

Leftover baked chicken wings can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. When you feel like eating again, you can reheat them in the oven at 450°F for up to 10 minutes.

For Crispy Wings

  • Dry them well! Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel to remove all the moisture. The less moisture there is in the chicken wings, the crispier they will be.
  • Use baking powder. Using this will make the chicken wings crispy and brown nicely.
